In an unbelievable display of voting fraud, Houston Mayor Bill White and his city government are clearly violating section 36.02 of the Texas Penal Code, which strictly prohibits any benefit or consideration in exchange for a vote.   

This latest attempt to influence the upcoming elections comes in the form of a “vote and vaccinate” program.  If someone is fifty years or older, they can go to select voting locations and receive a “free” flu vaccine.  

On the surface, Bill White’s plan sounds seems fine. We all want to make sure citizens have proper medical care. However, when one takes a closer look, you will see that these locations have been strategically placed in HEAVY DEMOCRAT voting areas, and the “offer” only takes place during early voting and on Election Day.  

 It is shameful that Bill White would use something as precious as health care to push his liberal Democrat agenda.  Why would Bill White go to such extremes?  Because he knows that the people see his November propositions for what they are; a tool to thwart the will of the people. 

 Back in 2004, a record number of Houstonians voted for Proposition 2 “The Taxpayers Bill of Rights.”  Ever since then, Bill White has spent thousands of dollars to overturn the election and he has been defeated at every turn.  Now, he’ll stop at nothing to make sure his failed liberal agenda will be passed…even if it means breaking the law and exploiting our citizens.   

 He is breaking the law, that much is clear, but even if he was not, why doesn’t he offer these vaccinations at every voting location?  Aren’t there plenty of fifty and older citizens that could use free flu vaccinations outside Democrat strongholds?  We believe that all voters know the answer and will see through this scheme.

 The HCRP calls on Bill White to halt this charade and obey the law!

 If Mayor White truly wants to provide vaccinations, we urge him to join us, beginning November 8^th.  At that time the HCRP pledges $1,000 to provide free vaccines.  We call on the city of Houston and the Harris County Democratic Party to match these funds.  Let’s protect our citizens and let’s have fair elections.
