Young adults are also invited   RSVP:  Call Perky Savage 281-807-0855 or  e-mail Ann Pavalock at rsvp@ttprw.org RSVP By NOON, Friday, 11/7/08 (No-shows will be billed unless cancelled by the reservation deadline.)       Dan Patrick.  Elected in 2006 to Texas State Senate with an overwhelming 69 percent majority.  During the 80th Legislative Session, Senator Patrick succeeded in permanently placing the creed, "In God We Trust" over the Senate chamber,   A frequent conservative commentator on MSNBC, The O'Reilly Factor, Lou Dobbs, Glenn Beck and Hannity and Colmes as well as serving as guest host for the Laura Ingraham and Michael Reagan nationally syndicated radio shows, Dan also continues his popular radio talk show on KSEV in Houston and Dallas, using the airwaves to advance his Christian values, while advocating for a more principled government, lower property taxes, and improved border security.  Dan and his wife Jan are members of TTPRW and true friends of Republican women.             Dr. Richard Murray, a native of Louisiana with B.A. and M.A. degrees in Government from LSU and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota (1967), has taught at the University of Houston since 1966.  He is currently the Bob Lanier Professor of Political Policy in the UH Department of Political Science and Director of Surveying for the UH Center for Public Policy.  His academic interests are in Houston and Texas politics, focusing on campaigns and elections, political parties and interest groups, and public opinion.  Professor Murray has written extensively in these areas, while teaching courses ranging from graduate seminars to introductory American Government.  Dr. Murray occasionally conducts polls for local media, and local governments and is a political analyst for Channel 13, KTRK Television, as well as being frequently quoted on Texas and U.S. politics by national news sources such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, and ABC News.   Alan Bernstein covers campaigns and elections for the Houston Chronicle, where he has worked as a reporter and editor since 1980. He has covered 12 national political conventions and three presidential inaugurations and has been interviewed on news segments by CNN, BBC, BCMTV (France), the Canadian Broadcasting Co., C-SPAN and other news media. His work for the Chronicle has included directing the newspaper's Washington bureau and writing everything from investigative articles to travel pieces and book reviews.
